How is the Pop Century food court at handling allergies?

I am allergic to peanuts and eggs and I know that at the parks they have binders with ingredients at the CS places. Is it the same at Pop? I know that there are different stations in teh food court. Do you just ask at the food station or do you ask at the register?

Ive read a few Vegan dining reports and it appeared that they are very accomodating there. I know for a few items I had to talk to Chef Dan to make sure that they never came into contact with mushrooms or shellfish (even the most miniscule amount makes my lips and throats swell its icky)

So pop rocks in my opinion and has great options!

Food Courts, especially the values, are really accommodating. I see you have another allergy related thread on here. I would suggest that you pop onto the DISabilities board for some additional info. I am on the QSDP again this year and emailed Special Diets at Disney and they emailed me back a whole lot of attachments filled with details of allergy free items available at the various CS restaurants and food courts. It makes a big difference to your trip when you know where you can eat without worrying.

The food courts also have the binder. If you place your order at a register, that is the point to ask about your dietary requirements. If you place your order at a food court or elsewhere, where you approach the food stations to do so, that is usually the best place to ask.

At Pop I look to see if there is a floor manager. If I don't see one, then I stand near the pizza counter (there is a door behind that area where the chefs are) someone asks if I need something and I ask to speak with the chef. Sometimes they give you a buzzer to let you know the food is ready, other times they don't.

Glad to see you asked this. My son is allergic to peanuts and eggs and we are staying at Pop!

At AS Sports in 2008, I talked with the chef at the Food Court, and he made up a batch of egg-free pancakes and cooked them separately. He asked if we were coming to get breakfast the next day, and what time, and said he would have an egg free mix ready to go!

MelanieC (DISer, can't find the thread sorry) just got back from pop and said the chef was very helpful! I'll edit once I find her TR link!

I know vegan isn't a food allergy but it still shows they are more than willing to work with you!
