Hello all, I was wondering if anyone is considering the Wishes Cruise? If so, would anyone like to work out a date and split the cost? We would like to go but the cost seems a bit much for our group. Post on this thread and cross your fingers.

i couldn't find info on a WISHES cruise, but i did find this for the Illuminations cruise:

Pontoon Boats -- Another option for an IllumiNations cruise is a 24-foot pontoon boat, which seats 10 comfortably. The pontoon has a canopy, is roomier, and has some drink holders. When you rent either boat, it belongs to your party for the show; meaning the only people there will be the ones you've invited! The price for a pontoon IllumiNations Cruise starts at $234.74 + tax, for a maximum of 12 people (10 adults). Cost includes a driver, bagged snacks (pretzels, chips, popcorn), water and Coke products. Other food and beverage items are available through Yacht Club Private Dining at 407-934-3160. You may not bring your own food or beverages on board.

RESERVATIONS for all cruises are made by calling 407-WDW-PLAY, between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., up to 90 days in advance. You must provide a credit card to hold the reservation. You must cancel at least 24 hours in advance or your card will be charged.

NOTE: The cruise has gotten very popular, so be sure to call ahead for the reservation.

since it fits 12 people it looks like it would work out to be about 20$ p/p when you add in tax regardless of child or adult.

Lion Queen thanks for bringing this to our attentions! very cool!!

I found this info, but you have to be part of a Grand Gathering. To be part of a grand gathering we need at least 8 paying guests (3 and older):

Magical Fireworks Voyage" -- After bidding farewell to Captain Hook and Mr. Smee on shore, your group will sail with Patch the pirate along Seven Seas Lagoon by Magic Kingdom. This memorable evening includes ideal "seaward" viewing of the "Electrical Water Pageant" and the spectacular new "Wishes" fireworks extravaganza over Cinderella Castle. The voyage features group trivia and song activities and a celebration for special occasions like birthdays, reunions or anniversaries. The irrepressible Patch regales you with tales of Peter Pan on the trip back to shore. Speaking of Peter Pan, he awaits your return to pose for photos and sign autographs. Ages 10 and older, $29.99; ages 3-9, $14.99.

We did the Peter Pan/Capt Hook cruise last year...it was fun. They have a reception for you at the CR with Cpt Hook & Mr. Smeed, yummy desserts & YUMMY coffee! (don't know where it came from but it was good!) Then you board 2 boats, one Capt hook & one Mr Smeed...& you go off...your pirate hosts have contests tell jokes, and in general have a great time, you watch the Electrical Water Parade and then Wishes (with music piped in)...then Peter Pan "saves you" at the dock and stays to chat & take pictures. It was fun, my girls loved it.

ok that being said....I don't really want to do it again, I want to see Spectro every night I can

We "created" a grand gathering, 10 of us from the DIS boards...all you have to do is think of a name - "DIS POP'rs" for example, and appoint someone the Grand poohba - I mean lead, and call everyone in! It's really simple!
