Two of us are taking a trip there in May for four nights and we are having a hard time picking Beach club, Pop or Riverside because they all have something we really want ( I know champagne problems 😀) we are passholders and have stayed at Pop and Riverside but never Beach Club. I know they are all different tiers but just wanted some opinions please. The price difference between Pop and Beach club is $1207.02 and the difference in price for Pop and Riverside is $215.88.

For now I would suggest you skip the Beach Club if you are discussing this May (2025) since the main feature pool is closed now through June 2025 for maintenance. Yes there are 3 other pools but Stormalong Bay if normally very popular. If you are only considering BC due to it's location then it may still be an option for your visit.

If Stormalong Bay is closed during your trip (I think it is) I definitely wouldn't do BC. Save the money to do it when one of the best parts of the resort is open.

We love BC, but definitely wouldn't spend the money to be there when the main pool is closed.

Definitely the location because we don't use the pools, thanks

Sorry I should have mentioned we don't ever use the pools we just love the location, thanks

Have you considered Swan/Dolphin? Same location and you may be able to get a passholder rate. Or try to pick up a last minute DVC rental for Beach Club or Boardwalk.

Otherwise, if hotel amenities don't mean that much, then Pop does have the Skyliner to get you to the Epcot resort area. Do you have a car? Cause for the price difference you quoted for POR, I might consider that. I like the relative quiet of the AB section, the boat down to DS, the walking path to PO-FQ (which gives you other dining options, if that matters). I was offered an upgrade from Pop to POR this past January, but didn't take it cause I liked having Skyliner and didn't have a car (car gives me more definite transport time/freedom than buses).

Depends on what you want from the resort and if that extra money is going to hurt. I agree with above poster about Swan/Dolphin. I stay there just about every trip since I can usually get a room for about or close to the price of a moderate. Back to that in a sec.

If you are wanting the location BC is a fine option but would not be my first pick of the 4 resorts in that area (I'm counting Swan/Dolphin). Like you, I never use the main pool but do enjoy a dip in the quiet pool every now and again so taking that out of the equation, BC is fine but has a few drawbacks for me. #1 there are very few rooms (if any other than on the DVC side) that have full balconies. There are some rooms that have the practically useless standing balcony. If I'm paying what you pay for that resort, I want to sit on my balcony in the morning with my coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. #2 (this would be a plus for some) it tends to be a tad more kid friendly than the other Epcot resorts. I prefer the more adult sedate feel of YC, BWI or S/D. But, you can't beat a quick walk to Epcot and either a boat, sky liner if you must, or walk to HS.
Given the three choices you mentioned, I'd probably do POR. I would request a room on the mansion side though, the rustic side is just a tad too rustic for me. I've stayed at all three you have mentioned and all have their up sides. I'm not a fan of Pop because I seem to be one of the few people who actually doesn't like the sky liner. Now days, if I stay at a moderate it's usually CSR.

Now S/D. Cons - it's not Disney owned so you aren't going to get hit in the face with Disney if that is what you want. You will not be able to use your MB to get into your room, you will have an old fashioned key card. You will not be able to charge back to the room from the parks or anywhere else on site other than S/D. You will have to pay for parking if you have a car. The buses do not drop you off at the same place WDW buses do. At AK, I actually think they drop you off a tad closer but at MK they drop you off at TTC, which is fine for me but some people don't like it. Lots just walk over to YC/BC or BWI and catch a bus there.
Pros - walking distance and boat distance to both Epcot and HS. Lots of food options at both resorts. They share amenities so you can use either the Dolphin's big pool or the smaller lap pool at Swan. Deluxe perks like extra magic hours at the parks. If you want to pay a tad more, you can get a room with a smallish balcony that does at least hold a chair and a little table. The price is great if you can find a discount, I use the senior discount more than the AP discount.

Since you already know what POR and Pop have to offer than this is really about the Beach Club. The advantage to staying at the BC is the ability to walk into two parks easily, especially Epcot. We love being able to walk into Epcot for the nighttime entertainment. It is great to be able to watch the fireworks and then just head back to the room in minutes. The BC rooms are larger and more luxurious. A big difference is with the options for food. The BC marketplace has limited selections, especially compared to the food courts at value and moderate resorts. But the ease of traveling to restaurants in the area is much better from the BC.

All in all, we don't find a huge difference between a room at the BC compared to one at POR. It is all in the atmosphere and convenience of the location for the BC.

Once we stayed at a Crescent Lake resort, we fell totally in love just because of the ease of travel/location. If money wasn't ever an issue, I think I'd stay at BC/YC/BW every single stay. It's true that the quick service options are more limited than at Riverside or Pop, but it's so easy to walk into Epcot or to another Crescent Lake resort that, to me, options don't feel limited.

For me, the answer is always POR, Alligator Bayou. With the money I saved over BC I would book another 4 night stay at POR later. But I don’t have a problem with busses and I love a nice boat ride to DS.

I tried DVC rental but unfortunately they didn't have any availability. We'll be flying down. I didn't even think of swan/dolphin I'll check those out too thanks for the tips.

Wow thank you so much this is incredibly helpful! BTW I hate those type of standing balconies I mean what's the point lol.

Is $300/nt worth it? Only you can answer that. Walking distance to EP, long walk or boat ride to DHS- but you still need to bus to the other 2 parks. I love Crescent Lake but $400 more per night is too much for my budget if I’m just there for the parks. I’d take my Skyliner storm chances and do Pop. (Ideally I’d hit Swolphin but I know that isn’t everyone’s jam/always available at a good price.)

Yeah we're leaning towards Pop but later today I'm going to check on swan/Dolphin

If you can get a good price at Swan/Dolphin, I would go for it. Otherwise, personally, I would stay at Pop and plus other components of the trip with the savings (Minnie Vans, meals, LL, etc.)

Just checked and Swan/Dolphin is high, we'll probably go with Pop.
The savings between Pop Century and a Deluxe provides a lot of FUN MONEY!!!!

And we consider PC to be a "ModVal".

It has the lovely Hourglass Lake which is not often mentioned-we like to watch fireworks from the Lake.

Disney Skyliner makes going to Hollywood Studios and Epcot great fun-it is like riding a ride on the way to the rides!

And Skyliner provides fun access to CBR/Riviera and The Boardwalk-we like to Pop over to Banana Cabana and watch the fireworks sometimes.

And we love the PC Sountracks with a little Elvis Presley,Neil Young, Bob Dylan, etc. providing the music for a GROOVY Holiday!

Pony up the $1200. This is no contest. One of the premier resorts there vs the other two. Beach Club, go enjoy it and the other resorts, parks and fun at Crescent Lake and don't look back!
