Poor Universal...

That's pretty funny!

We have been watching the local news coverage of the opening. It's insane. I bet when we get home the news won't say anything about WWoHP! DH saw a report where people were waiting in line for 6 or 7 hours. Um, no thanks! We waited about 25 minutes for Forbidden Journey, and that was reasonable. Anything beyond that, eh...

Thanks for the laugh.

My SIL and her hubby are at visiting Universal this weekend for their wedding anniversary. SIL is a huge Harry Potter fan and just had to be there for the opening weekend. Even if I liked Harry Potter, you couldn't pay me to be there this weekend. It's kind of like the 40th anniversary of MK next year, I would love to go, but I just don't want to deal with the mob of guests that will be there that day.

No way in hell is MK going to see the crowds for its 40th that WWoHP saw yesterday. There's just not going to be anything new and exciting enough (or as well executed, from all the reports I'm hearing) to draw crowds that big.

Maybe if they hurry and get the new FantasyLand completed. :confused3 :rolleyes1

I agree that MK will not be mobbed to the extent that the other park has been over the past few days, but anything that draws in crowds is pretty much a situation that we just don't like to be in.

Maybe once I lose more weight the bad leg will not be so bad and I will be able to walk the parks again, but until that happens, crowds and scooters, well, it just stinks looking at butts all day.

I don't recall seeing anyone in a scooter the morning we were at WWoHP, so I am not sure how difficult it would be. The shops are NARROW - they may be pretty hard to navigate, especially if there are a lot of people in there. It's odd. This section was built from the ground up, wasn't it? You would think they would have made things wider in the interest of accessibility! We only went in the sweet shop and the joke shop - maybe the stuff on the other side of the street is better. :confused3
