Pools At Wdw

Does anyone know if you stay at one resort & you have friends at another resort are we able to meet up at one of the pools? we have friends staying at a different resort---are we able to go there & use that pool?

Pool hopping as it is called is discouraged but if you have friends at the other resort then you generally will not have a problem....unless you are talking about the Beach Club/Yacht Club resort. Stormalong Bay (SAB) is the pool complex at the BC/YC and only people with wrist bands can access SAB and you only get a wrist band if you are staying at the resort...friends and relatives not included.

The only legal way to pool hop is if your staying at a sister Resort. For example if your are staying at POR and your friends are staying at POFQ, then you can pool hop between those Resorts only. It's also like that for the Yacht & Beach Club and the 3 All Star Resorts. However if you were staying at Coronado Springs and they were staying at Caribbean Beach then neither one of you can pool hop.

Besides that the only guests who can legally pool hop are DVC members staying on points, however they can not pool hop at SAB at the Yacht & Beach Club or the pool at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. However they are allowed to try the other Resort pools under the circumstances I mentioned. Plus the only time they can not pool hop at all is during the holiday seasons at WDW because those dates are blacked out.

We've taken many trips with friends/relatives at other resorts. Since there is no pool hopping, we plan our down/time and visiting at one of the waterparks. We always have a blast !

The resort pools are for the exclusive use of the guests at that resort. Not the guests of the guests. Sorry.

The water parks may be your best bet.
