At the RPR the pool water last week was like bath water - way too warm to be refreshing. A guy in the pool said he had just returned from HRH's pool and said it felt 10 degrees hotter than RP. I haven't been to Florida in July in 10 years so this may be normal. Also, the pool at RPR was an average of 4 feet deep and I think that also attributed to the warm water - that along with the shallow zero entry section.

I was at the HRH July 3-7. I came back from a hot morning at Universal and couldn't wait to cool off in the pool. WRONG!!! It was like bath water. I got out and stood under one of the fountains to cool down. They need to bring in big bricks of ice to cool their pools down.

Well in July in Florida unless they pump in ice cold water that's pretty much how it is. Not to mention how shallow all those pools are at the Universal resorts, they probably heat right up!
My home pool is more like a spa right now! YUK

I thought the pool at HRH was way too warm too during our recent visit (7/11 - 7/13), but the kids seemed to like it that way. The showers were a much better way to cool off. We really liked the underwater speakers!

I agree...that's one of those things about Florida that makes me nutty...it's 95 degrees out and you want to cool off in a pool and it's like jumping into a bathtub!!!

I find, if the resort has a hottub, hop in there for a few minutes...I know it won't be what you want to do, but boy, when you jump into the regular pool after that, you feel refreshed!!! ;)
