Pool View at AKL - Help w/ noise factor

After reading some other threads on pool noise, now I'm worried. I have a pool view booked at AKL for Aug, and didn't even consider noise. We've never had a problem at a resort before with outside noise, so either I don't hear it, or it's not that bad. We've only stayed at deluxes and CSR so I don't know if this is a factor.
My question is....has anyone ever had a problem with pool view at AKL?? Should I try to switch?? Any help is appreciated.

I think you should be fine. When we stayed at AKL it was no problem, there was no one in the pool most of the time. (But it was Dec...) I see it being more of a value resort issue than a deluxe just as families tend to stay at values more often than deluxe.

Over the years we have stayed in pool view rooms at the AKL twice and with the balcony door closed there were no noise issues.

Stayed in a pool view, 5th floor in January and never heard any noise.

Thanks to all who responded...I'm hoping for a code to upgrade to savannah, but right now - pool view's all I can do. Thanks for being reasurring.

Pool view is fine we had no issues with a pool view room in 2004 and would certainly book again.

We didn't hear a single noise from the pool on our last trip either I think maybe because they have so much landscaping there it helps absorb any extra noise.

We had poolview in '04 and it was no problem. We actually had a 1st floor room with small patio & it was great! DW & I would sit our there and talk while DD was naping inside. She is a light sleeper so no issues with noise. IT IS A NON ISSUE in my opinion. You'll love the place.

Although a pool view is nice, here's wishing some St. Paddy's Day good luck that you can find a code and get a savannah view room. We too were booked for a pool-view room, and with a code that came out later were able to upgrade to savannah view (Arusha, Zebra Trail, 3rd floor ... perfect!).

We didnt hear a peep in our 3rd floor pool view room, at the time my son was 18mo and he napped every afternoon with out any issues. You will be just fine I am sure.
