Pool Towels?

We will be "coming home" for the first time in May. Can someone tell me if you can get pool towels at the DVC pools or do you have to use your room towels? TIA!

There are plenty of towels poolside for guests to use. No need to bring any.

Actually, I just saw in the new Disney Files that the pool towels will be in the DVC rooms and that you can only exchange them towel for towel at the pool.

This is just for Vero Beach. From the member website:

Disney's Vero Beach Resort Pool Towels

Disney's Vero Beach Resort has upgraded its pool towels with larger, plusher versions stocked in Vacation Homes. Each Vacation Home is equipped with the appropriate number of pool towels based on that Vacation Home's occupancy. Pool towels will not be available at poolside or the beach, except on a one-for-one exchange basis. Members and Guests may also exchange used pool towels for clean replacements by contacting Housekeeping for delivery to their Vacation Home, or during regularly scheduled housekeeping services.

The towel exchange is nuts We were there three weeks ago and had a 2BR unit which slept 9 and had 8 pool towels. Exchange was NOT with housekeeping - it was at Eb & Flo's by the pool, unit did NOT have 9 bath towels it had 5. Additional towels provided IF you give them your name/unit #. It seems like a logistic nightmare to me. Why not just provide towels at pool and collect them at the gate. Same with beach. It reeks of distrust to me.
