Pool towels at ASMu?

We are going to ASMu in Nov and I read somewhere that you need to bring your own pool towels or use your room towels. Is this true, If so I need to add some beach towels to my packing list. I am hoping that they DO have pool towels as beach towels take up alot of room. We usually stay at WL and they have tons of towels right at the pool.

Sorry, that's true. They don't have pool towels at the value resorts. You can bring your own, or use your room towels (and call Mousekeeping for more).

At Pop Century, Mousekeeping kept some towel carts not too far from the pools (right under the shelter at the entrance of the buildings) so we could grab a towel from there if we needed one. Does Mousekeeping do the same at ASMu?

At ASMu we were told that there were towels at the ront desk if we needed them, but we didn't try it. Never saw a cart full of them anywhere, we looked because we had a little one get wet before we got a room and didn't have towels. Plus, the towels are really small and get soaked quickly - bring the beach towels.

Are they always there? I wish the values did this, it would alleveiate a lot of work (mousekeeping must be kept busy bringing towel requests to the rooms).

Don't know if it's common or not, but we had the same thing at Movies. There was always a cart full of towels either near the pool, or in the walkway from our building to the pool. Very handy!

During our stay at All Star Music in September there were 2 carts full of towels in the sheltered area by the elevators also.
I did call Mousekeeping for extra towels our firrst night and she brought up a stack (9 towels) within 10 minutes. They were still warm!

The two girls went swimming almost every day we were at ASMu earlier this month (10/11-10/16). If there were towels by the pool, they didn't notice them. They took towels from the room for swimming, and we just requested more from mousekeeping, which always arrived promptly (even after 10 pm!!!). I would agree if you like thick, comfy towels, bring your own beach towels, but we got along just fine with the hotel towels, and had more room in our suitcases.

Just to clarify the towels are not out in open area by the pools at the values.
They are in the covered area by the inside stairs and elevators. There were always two big housekeeping towel bins that guests would see if they were stepping off the elevator. A lot of guests who do not use the elevator would miss them and not even know they are there.

They are right under the giant xylophone of the Calypso building.

A little ways from the main pool but not far at all.

The year we stayed at POP happened to be the year we drove to WDW. So we were able to bring the beach towels with us. The kids used them as blankets in the car. We didn't realize it at the time that POP wouldn't have towels at the pool, so it worked out well for us.

I hate when pools (vacation pools) don't have towel. I know its an irrational concept, but I hate using "shower" towels at the pool. It just doesn't seem right to me.
