Pool question about POFQ?

Hi - I wondered if the pool at POFQ is closed right now? We are thinking of going at the end of the month and wondered if it was indeed closed and if where you were able to swim during your visit? Was transportation provided to another pool? (we have 4 kids - 7, 5,2 and 6 mths so that will be key) Would you still recommend POFQ or would you change to POR? Thanks!

Hi, we were there from Jan 24-30 and it was definitely closed on the 28th. big green gates around the pool and hot tub. they put up a sign in the entrance on probably the 26th or so warning people. they offer a shuttle to the Port Orleans Riverside probably on one of the long golf cart things but we never went to the POR to swim.

As far as the POR or POFQ there is a lot of literature on the forum about this. personally, the convenience of always being the first bus stop picked up and dropped off is key. we would get on at POFQ with maybe 6-8 other people going wherever we were going. The POR always had many more people, many of whom would have to stand. plus the POFQ is much much much smaller in general.

Yep, Just got back from POFQ. The pool is closed. They are running a special boat shuttle to/from POR for folks who want to swim and not walk the distance.

It was my first time at POFQ. It was small and nice.
