We’re staying at the Polynesian for a week in October and we’re determined to spend more time at the resort this time instead of chasing fastpasses and dining reservations. I noticed in the daily activites that there’s a pool party every day at 3pm. What does a pool party entail?

Also, the last few trips we’ve done have been in mid-November and it was too cold to really enjoy the pool and waterslide. Will the beginning of October be warm enough to spend an afternoon at the pool?

Thanks in advance!

Kids playing games, etc... trying to think what they did. I think I saw my kids hitting a blown up large ball yesterday (and I know they did it at the BC too last week) up in the air with a bunch of other people trying to not let it drop.

I can’t recall what else as I was swimming back and forth.

It's a noisy atmosphere. I don't care for them and try to frequent the leisure pools instead of the themed pools. October will be plenty warm enough for days at the pool.

A WDW recreation CM will run games with the kids and play music - they are a lot of fun. Weather in October can be quite variable so you can only check the forecast and hope for the best.

Scavenger hunts, usually for items commonly found in a pool bag
Dive games for things they throw in a pool
Marco Polo type games
Form teams and have relay races to fill buckets with water
Disney trivia games

Those are a few of the games I can remember playing over the years at various pool parties. There's been more I just can't remember them all.
