Just wondered, does anyone still do this?
It used to be seen as a perk of dvc, however the list of pools not allowed is growing.
Do you still pool hop, & what r the best resorts that you are still allowed to hop too?

We like the pool at PO-RS (old DL). We go to DS then take the boat ride to the resort, nice way to spend an afternoon. Lots of trees in which to find shade, if you have kids they have a play area, and the food location is close.

I do when I can. Which isn't recently bc dh is the card-holding member and he hasn't gone in awhile.

I love boardwalk.

I don't feel it is. At least not in a way that's taking my faves away. It's pools that didn't exist earlier, mainly. No skin off my nose that I can't go to a pool that was never on the hopping list.

I liked Coronado's pool, too. If only it hadn't been lovebug season it would have been perfect.

Seems like Disney is phasing the perk out, I believe that the newer resorts are all restricted from hopping.

We'll hop from BLT over to VGF but it is a hassle. I'd almost rather do a split stay between the resorts where I'd like to visit the pools.

They have been for years, both by design and out of necessity. At one time it was a true perk, now it's an extremely specialized option helpful for only a very small % of members. Still some find it worthwhile. In addition to restricting more pools/resorts, they've added additional calendar restrictions and there's the risk of capacity causing one to be denied access or asked to leave.

Only hopped once and it wasn't anything more than we were going to OKW for another reason and DH loves an afternoon swim. The pools at the resort we are staying at are usually just fine.

With the new IT film coming out, the BWV pool will be as popular as ever. Or maybe not.

It's the first movie that really did it for me with clowns. I didn't love them before but after that they were just way too creepy - thank you Stephen King and Tim Curry.

But I survive the clown face slide because it is a pretty good one and actually spits people out vs eating them.

I don't think we have pool hopped since Stormalong Bay was still included in the pools you could hop to (I don't think any were forbidden back then). We used to hit that one frequently for my husband and son.
