Pool Hopping

I believe that I saw somewhere that as a DVC member you can pool hop but not at SAB and AK. Is that still true? Can you go to any of the other pools on resort property or just DVC resorts?

Check the DVC website for all the ins and outs, including black out dates. They usually send a reminder with the e-mail updates as well.

As of right now, this is still true. You can go to any WDW resort pool except SAB and AKL. Subject to blackout dates or daily pool occupancy. If a particular pool is busy they have the right to suspend hopping to that pool. They suggest you call ahead to check, though that's no guarantee.

The great thing is if you are staying at either BCV or AK you can use those pools of course then. I actually preferred the quiet pool at BCV though, our room was poolside and very convenient.

You may even see two different messages about which pools are not allowed. Sometimes it will say just AKL and SAB and other times it will say AKL, SAB and the BCV, BC and YC leisure pools. So, no pools at all at YC/BC/BCV.

Deb...good point. My understanding is that all of the YC/BC/BCV pools are off limits to pool hopping. I just listed SAB since that is the usual destination pool at those resorts.
