Pool heating.

Hi

Never rented a villa only a condo that said we go end of October and always able to swim in the community pool at Windsor Hills, we always go to a waterpark as well, (we're from Yorkshire).

So I'm guessing no pool heater required end September :-)

Regards

Paul

When would you be going?

I would need pool heat probably mid-October through to mid April however if I was travelling in December, January or February I wouldn't bother as I know we wouldn't swim anyway (it has to be 85F or higher outside for me to brave the pool ;) )

We rented a house in December and we had pool heat. We moved to Animal Kingdom Lodge the next week and our pool at the house was much warmer than the one at Disney!

We ll be 29th of sept for 7 nights before heading to the beach club

Elise79 is spot on with regards pool heat.

Remember it does take a few hours to heat the pool anyway. Which You pay for.

As you are only there for 7 days then it is not worth it.

Why ...... Well we have seen guests arrive on their First night and

enjoying the pool But next day they are up at dawn to go to the parks for

Rope drop and then they are away till late ..... no time for swim pool

as they have to be up again at dawn for another day at park.

Most guests with small children make very little use of pool

so heating is a waste of money.

Not sure if it changes things but will have a 10 month old with us and plan a fairly quiet week. Just doing a day at universal and a day at legoland.

Can you arrange heating when there if it seems cold?

I would be amazed if you needed it at that time of year.

We arrived here on September 22nd and our pool, without heating, was about 85F. We swim every day but did not need to put the heating on until the end of October.

Most renters will put the heating on for you at short notice but, depending on what kind of heating they use, it could take a day to reach the level you want.

Our pool heater (a heat exchanger) broke down a few days ago. By the time the engineer came to repair it the pool temperature had fallen to 68F. That was yesterday afternoon. I have just got out of the pool a few minutes ago and the temperature was already back up to our desired level of 83F.

Hope that helps

In Sept the temps will be 85-95 plus factor in the humdity it will feel like 100 degrees. So I would say no to the pool heater

Personally I think the answer depends on what you want the pool for. While it may be fine for you to jump into and cool off without any pool heat, and once you get swimming around it will be great, but if you have any plans on using the jacuzzi in the evening - or at any time for that matter - it's not nearly as much fun trying to relax in cold water. We have ways had pool heating, regardless of the time of year, because we have found, regardless of the time of year, the water always has an element of cold to it.

Hi it's a personal choice as to how you like your pool water as the previous poster said. We like getting into a pool that's fairly warm and not to cool down and tred water until it warms up ;) (we're people who like to be snug and warm :rotfl2:)
We usually go September/October time and have always had it but as also previously mentioned just depends how much you're actually going to use the pool. It is easy enough to contact the owner to get it turned on but does take a few hours to warm up. If there a cover use it to keep the heat in.
It's your holiday so depends on your budget, lifestyle and what makes you happy :yay::yay:
