Hello!

We have a trip booked in march for PQFQ and I received an email saying the pool will be closed but transportation will be provided to riversides pool. For anyone that’s had this happen, was this easy to navigate? Id hate to switch resorts :(

It’s not too bad; we did it a couple of times just for fun. The pool bar at Riverside is really good if you’re into that kind of thing.

Assume you mean the French Quarter pool. Those two resorts are sister resorts and you can already use each other's pools, so nothing to navigate. They are just providing some kind of transportation so you don't have to walk, even though it's not a bad walk from most the resort.

Very different in theme but POR is a bigger, better pool. I think the main difference to me is that since POFQ is very much built for young children, you'll lose that visibility, slide will be slightly "bigger" and no splash playground. But for adults it is better, you have a nice pool bar and bigger hot tub.

Thank you!!!! We will stick with it! Definitely a better pool for my kids who are older at riverside!

YUP! We were staying at POR when the kids were about 9 and 5 so we walked over to POFQ one day for breakfast. We took them to the pool and asked them if they would like to stay there next time. They said "NO this pool is for babies." I did end up staying there later for non-pool trips.

Yes I totally get it!! We’ve stayed at both before I just wasn’t sure if it was a pain to go to the pool at riverside since I know that resort is so huge and can be a lot of walking. The only reason I don’t want to switch there is because I don’t know why, but I swear the food is better at PQFQ

I would probably switch to Riverside but I am partial to it. It will be much less of a hassle to the pool IMO and if you really think the food is that different at French quarter you can walk down. Also most times ( although maybe not if the pool is out) POR is cheaper than POFQ anyway.
