I read in the unofficial guide about a dessert spot in DLR with Pooh's name in the title that had some delicious sounding desserts. I can't find much info on it, am I correct to assume it's no longer open?
Perhaps you're referring to Pooh Corner. It still exists. It's a sweet shop in the very back corner of Critter Country near the exit to the Winnie the Pooh ride. It has the typical treats that you also find at the Main Street Candy Shop and Marceline's and it's where the famous Tigger Tails are located although I've started to see those show up in the other candy shops occasionally too.
It's still there and still wonderful! I would suggest leaving the little ones outside unless you plan to buy...it's very hard for them to see all those sweets and not want one! They do have a cool window where you can usually see some treats being made by a CM.
Beautiful picture! Things like this are one of the reasons I am so excited for my first adult trip this summer - when I was a kid I couldn't appreciate the stores and restaurants like this fully, beyond of course the usual "Candy candy caaandy!" that a little kid would! Just looking at the theming here though is giving me such a thrill!
I don't know of one. It's a treat shop and souvenir shop rather than a restaurant. That picture that was posted gives you an idea. Inside the cases that you can't see are candy apples, rice krisipie treats, cake pops, cupcakes, brownies, cookies of various types, candies of various types including fudge, toffee, large mints, tigger tails and other coated marshmallow confections, and dipped pretzels. There are pre-wrapped trays of candy such as toffee, fudge, honeycomb (so good), chocolate barks, etc. and pre-bagged flavored popcorns, lollipops, and a variety of things that I would classify as novelty candy.
I loved reading that blog piece! I can't wait to try a Tigger Tail...I had no idea it existed and it sounds sooo yummy (and I think I'd prefer the one with sugar vs. the orange chocolate!)
