Has anyone ever had a problem not being able to let down the tray table?

I have seen it many times. There isn't a lot of room on some planes between the seat in fron to you and your lap. I have also seen it in the bulkhead seats where the tables are stored in the armrests.

I have trouble with the table coming down and fitting under it so it is not tipped slightly...but our flights are only two hours normally and I just hold onto my free soda and set my snack item down on the tray. For me it is no big issue but if you have a long flight where they serve a meal it could be...

I am 5'8" weigh 270 I have no problem with the tray unless the person is reclined in the seat in front of me. Yes I know I am overweight. I also have a large front up top so even if the bottom was smaller the top would still be an issue. I usually fly Song or Jetblue. I have more issues with Song it seems to have less space than Jetblue.
