Pooh at Discovery Island Landing - Animal Kingdom

How early are Pooh and friends at Discovery Island Landing at the Animal Kingdom? Would they be there at rope drop?

Also, where exactly is Discovery Island Landing?

Pooh, Eeyore and Piglet at the Character Landing
9:00am-5:00pm

To get there, walk to the bridge to Dinoland and then before you go over it, turn a right. There should be a sign to point you the way.

We were at AK for opening in Dec. We did see Pooh and friends at Discovery Island Landing. But I don't think it was early. I believe we found them as we were leaving the park. It was a quickie visit to DinoLand and to visit Camp Minnie Mickey. So, it may have been around 10:30 or so. If you are going towards DinoLand, it will be on your right hand side, just before you cross the bridge into DinoLand. In fact, the river runs right behind the Character area.

I think the landing used to be a boat dock for the Discovery River boats. They sure didn't last long.
