Warning: these reports are going to be long!!!

We were in WDW from Nov. 5-11. I'm just now getting to my reviews and reports. A little background:

Pooh is my husband. He is 34 years old.
Kitten is me. I am 28 years old. *Note: I am a paraplegic. I thought I would add that so the wheelchair comments would make sense*

Yes it's cheesy, but those are our pet names for each other.

Ok here we go. DAY ONE:

We left Cleveland, Tennessee (just NE of Chattanooga) at around 9 a.m. Our lovely one hour flight was to be at 1:00 in Atlanta. We cashed in our Skymiles because they were about to expire, so we decided to use them on this trip. Woo hoo, only a 2 hour drive!!

We get to the airport and check our luggage. No problem. We then head for the security check. Oh, one quick note. We ate a light breakfast planning on eating lunch at the airport once we checked in at the gate.

At security I am checked seperate from my husband. He goes through the regular line and we meet on the other side. The woman pats me down (read: felt me up) and I went to go put my shoes back on and wait for Pooh.

Well he was taking forever. I looked around and saw him with an employee going through our overnight bag. I shrugged it off, no big deal. My husband motions me over to them. The employee gives me a dirty look and lifts up my 3-step skin care products. "Oh crap" I thought. I checked practically every liquid I had, 3 oz. or not, into our luggage, but not this. I had used the products that morning and tossed them into the overnight bag.

I couldn't check my overnight bag (personal reasons). I sighed and told him to toss it. Embarrassed and frustrated, we head to our gate. ETA: I thought I was up to speed on the new security measures. I did not know you are supposed to remove the Ziploc bag and put them in the security bins, too. That's why our luggage was being searched. A mistake I didn't make again on the return flight.

We slowly make it to our gate and check in. I look at my watch and it say 7:25. Crap crap crap. My watch battery had died. *grumble* I asked my husband what time it was. He said it was noon. I asked the employee at the gate what time we needed to be back to board (the board me early). She said about 12:15. Lovely. We have 15 minutes to find something to eat and get it eaten.

We look around quickly and find nothing. We ended up getting a Diet Coke and a bag of Cheez-it snack mix and head back to the gate. No sooner had we eaten a handful, they called for us to board.

The flight was uneventful, but the landing stunk. It's no wonder you have to wear a seatbelt.

We head to the Magical Express counter. To my dismay, there appears to be 1,000 people in line ahead of us. My head began to hurt. Thankfully the line moved very fast and we were out of there in about 10-15 minutes. The CM escorted us to the place where the ME guests wait. We waited for our bus MAYBE 10 minutes. We board and have an uneventful drive to WDW resorts. The bus made a stop at the Allstars first. No biggie.

We arrive at CSR with practically the entire bus. I prepared myself for a long check-in because I am always the last one off. We got to the check-in and sure enough, there is a HUGE line, almost out the front doors. I left my husband and went to Panchitos. I check on him about 10 minutes later and he is almost done at the counter. Woo hoo!!

We got placed in Cabanas, which I ended up loving!! Our room wasn't ready yet, but we waiting a whopping 15 minutes; just enough time for a pleasant walk. We got in our room, freshened up, and headed to the Yacht and Beach Club for a well deserved dinner and dessert at Beaches and Cream.

We took the bus to MGM with plans to ride the boat to the Y&BC. We were the only people on the MGM bus. The CM asked us if we had ADRs somewhere for dinner. We told him our plans and we chatted about B&C while he strapped in my wheelchair. We arrive at MGM. There is no one waiting for the bus. He comes back to unstrap me and informs us, "I just got radioed and was told I could take my lunch. Would you guys like me to just drive you to Y&BC?" How nice was that!!?? So he did!

We arrived at the resort at walked around a few minutes. Near death with hunger (remember the light breakfast and the handul of Cheez-it mix?), we head to Beaches and Cream. We got a pager and waited about 15 minutes. We go in both get double bacon cheeseburgers and fries. Our food, plus the No Way Jose, were AWESOME!!!

My only complaint was a group of guests. On the bar side of the place there were about 8-9 kids all under the age of about 6. On each end of the bar was what looked to be 2 dads, each chugging down beers. The 2 dad's and the kids were DEAFENING!! When they left quite a while later, you could hear a pin drop in there. That was my only complaint about the place, and it wasn't the restaurant's fault.

We walked around the resort and bit more and took the boat back to MGM. We caught a bus back to CSR, and promptly went to bed.

And that, my friends, was Day One.

I made a note of his name and am going to write a letter to WDW with all my compliments. His name was Russ.
