Merry Christmas to everyone! Just received our reservations from Disney in the mail on the 24th. We are leaving January 24th with our family of four (Myself, husband, son (10), daughter (6). We have a Magic Kingdom room booked-very excited. I have read so many reviews on what building but am still undecided if I will request any building or just let Disney decide. We just want to make sure we have a balcony but I believe all Magic Kingdom view do. Is that correct? I have my daughter booked with BBB at the Magic Kingdom as a surprise. We are going to do the tea at the GF after we are done. All our dinner reservations are made:

1)Chef Mickey
2)Boma
3)Norway Princess dinner
4)Hoop dee doo
5)Le Cellier
6)California Grill
7)Kona Cafe
8)Crstal Palace - Breakfast

I have left one night without a reservation where we will just find some place that is available to eat. It should not be much of a problem as we have been to Disney before at this time of year. One question, I know the Pirate and Princess Party is a couple days when we are there do they still have the fireworks and what about spectromagic?

Thanks!

Can you tell I am getting very excited. Also, our kids know we are going to disney but do not know when. Last time we told them that morning. I think we will do the same this time. I feel sorry for my daughters teacher she will be so excited.

Of the buildings that have MK view, only Tahiti has balconies on the 2nd floor. But Tahiti is also a very large building so if that's your request, you have a good chance of getting it. We just leave it up to the Polynesian personally.

Don't know about the P&P fireworks. I would watch for reports on the Theme Park forum.

Happy planning and have a great trip!

I think Tahiti is what I am going to request. Thanks!

It's a great building. The rooms are 61 sq ft larger than the other buildings that have MK view. There is a self parking lot quite close to it. It is a very short walk to the TTC as well. Taking the large ferry back to the TTC if you return to the resort in the afternoon is a great way to travel. There are double sinks if that matters to you.

But it is also the farthest from the GCH. If you're planning on many trips to Captain Cooks for example, the other MK view buildings might be more convenient.

But really, every building at the Polynesian has advantages. Enjoy!:cool1:

It really does not matter that it is the farthest building from Ceremonial House. We are all in good condition and do not mind the walk. It will give us some more excercise after eating all the good food from the week. My husband and I have stayed at the Polynesian before many moons ago on our honeymoon 17 years ago and we love it. Have never stayed Magic Kingdom view so this will be nice for us and our kids. Two years ago stayed at Wilderness Lodge which is also great. Thanks for your input.

Well, then it is a perfect request for you. We've stayed in Rapa Nui many times and love it. The grounds of the Polynesian are so lovely that walking the paths is one of the many delights of the Polynesian for us.

But occasionally I've seen the odd poster who complains of the walk from Tahiti to the GCH so thought it was good to let you know.

I would so much rather walk the lovely grounds of the Polynesian than the long corridors of some of the all in one building resorts.:thumbsup2

We stayed at the Poly with an MK view in Tahiti earlier this month. It was BEAUTIFUL. There are several buildings with lagoon views but I believe only Tahiti and maybe Hawaii have the wonderful MK view.

Aotearoa and Tuvalu also have MK view rooms. And all lagoon rooms in Tahiti are not MK view reportedly. In all three buildings, only rooms with unobstructed views of the MK are that category.

The castle views from Hawaii are beautiful however there is no MK category for those rooms. It is either lagoon view club or garden view club. Garden view rooms face the quiet pool.
