Polynesian renovations - any updates?

I've read that there are some Polynesian renovations going on right now. For anyone who has been recently, can you give an update about what is going on?

I've read that there are some Polynesian renovations going on right now. For anyone who has been recently, can you give an update about what is going on?

I haven't been recently, but I hang out in the Poly thread, so have an idea of what's going on. They are refurbing all of the longhouses. They seem to be doing 2 at a time, closing the longhouse down completely while work is being done. The work doesn't affect the other longhouses (someone did mention construction noise during the day, but most reports are that it's not noticeable). Hawaii and Samoa are currently being done, with Hawaii due to open within the next week or so (so pictures will be coming soon!) They are redoing all of the carpets, updating the decor/bedding and completely redoing the bathrooms (reconfiguring and adding double sinks). The schedule seems to be about 2 months/longhouse. All work should be done this fall.

There have also been rumours on and off that a hottub is also being added to the resort, but there has been nothing recent on when/if that is actually going to happen.

Try looking at Tikimanpages he has the schedule. I have been told the construction "Should" be finished the first week of October!!! I hope this is true we just switched to the Polynesian and will be there the last week of October.
