Staying in January for Marathon weekend in a standard view room. Which building would be my best bet to walk over to the monorail the morning of the half marathon and the full (rather than taking the resort monorail)? Rarotonga? Also, I'm assuming from the maps that there are not elevators in the buildings? Is this the case or am I seeing wrong? If there is an elevator, I'd ask for third floor. If not, I would ask for first.

I stayed in the Moorea building a couple years ago and the mono at the TTC was a super short walk. Also, there were elevators inside the building. I think Rarotonga would be closer to the resort mono and I think you want the TTC

I assume you’re talking about a standard view resort room, not a DVC/villa room, right? If so, then Rarotonga would be your best longhouse request to be more on the TTC side of the resort. The three longhouses that are closest to the TTC (Moorea, Tokelau, and Pago Pago) are DVC buildings.

And yes, there are elevators.

Good point. Didn't consider that the OP wouldn't look at a DVC room

Oh man you’re going to have a great time! We did the Star Wars half last April (2018) and at the end of the day I was just sitting in the hot tub at the oasis pool watching the clouds, listening to the music, and loving the fact that I was done!

Honestly none of the buildings are that far from the TTC (the start is at the lot behind Epcot right?) and they have elevators.
