Polynesian experts...is the bus ride to MGM/AK that bad......

I'm not an expert but have some recent experience with the issue. When we were there in the middle of march the bus service was fine IMHO, you might be standing but we always fit. If you plan on getting to the parks at opening get to the bus stop at least 40 minutes ahead of park opening.Sometimes it will take 15-20 min for the bus to get there(if you just missed one),then about 10-15 min to get to MGM or AK.

Polynesian is the 2nd pick-up on the route (WL is first and GF third). We didn't encounter any problems last year in June when traveling to MGM or AKL or BB, for that matter. Our trips are usually in the third week of June or near thereto and we've not had problems getting a seat. We do try to be on a bus that's headed to our destination no later than 1/2 hour prior to opening. Those staying at GF may not have a seat though. I've always found that odd, too--we stayed at GF and it was my biggest complaint--standing on the bus when we paid all that money to be at GF. Go figure!

Now, if you want to talk about headaches, the bus that runs to DD/PI, etc.--that's a sardine can on the trip home and it doesn't seem to matter when you leave!

Hey guys where do you get the bus to the mgm while at the poly?

Years ago while staying at dixie landings, my hubby always politely gave up his seat to children or women. So I guess he will do this again.

The bus to MGM/BB/AKL is caught directly in front of the Great Ceremonial house. You cross the resort guest drop off area/bellhop stand to a second lower driveway. The bus for all parks/locations drops and picks-up at this point. There is a sign as well that gives the destinations and times of service for each.

My husband and son do the same as yours--too few of those gentlemen around these days. I've stood on a bus while holding a child before without anyone thinking to offer their seat.
