Polynesian DVC starting in 2013 - How exciting!

You mean I might actually get my wish to stay at the Poly as a DVC member. That's pretty darn cool!

I know, right? That would be awesome :) Poly DVC would be a really good seller I think.

I'm still hopeful they build the Fort Wilderness DVC I've read rumors about. But, that's probably still way off in the future. ::fingers crossed::

I have never stayed at the Poly but would be interested if DVC rooms were available. The best part about it is it would take some booking presure off of VWL:cool1: I might be able to get into the resort for chnage::yes::

I am SOOOOO stoked on this. I've been waiting since we bought our AKL. I KNEW it was comingwhen they built BLT, so I've been sitting on my hands to not add on until this started. :hyper:

I hope they start offering additional club level tier to the new DVC resorts. pixiedust:

They NEED to do this! I haven't been keeping up on the GF DVC since I knew this was coming (in my gut), but are they going to have any club level there? It seems the ideal place for it. We LOVED it at the AKV club villas over the regular club level at AKL. Dear Lord! HEAVEN!
Add on, here I come! :hyper:

The hubs is now chomping at the bit. I showed him the layout from tikimanpages and he said "Well, I know we were *going* to buy Grand Floridian, but maybe we hold off a bit for this?"

My new job: convince him to buy small as possible now and go big when the Poly DVC goes on sale!

We stayed there for the first time in 1976, and then 3 more times after that. It has always been my favorite.
We enjoyed our stay at BLT over Easter, love AKL and KIDANI, really enjoy the relaxing atmosphere at OKW and SSR, GF is okay, CRB and PO RSI are okay, but c'mon, THE POLY IS THE BEST!:cheer2::grouphug::cheer2::grouphug::cheer2:pixiedust::cheer2::grouphpixiedust::cheer2:

I AM SOOOOO HAPPPPPPPY!:cheer2::

Did I make my point????

My family used to stay at the Polynesian all the time when my sisters and I were younger. I really miss staying there and we always love going back to visit. If they really are adding DVC there I will die. :faint: :cool1:

If I win the 350 million dollar powerball, I know where I'm adding on.

No, if you win the Powerball you need buy buy one of those multi million dollar homes on property at The Golden Oaks! that's what I'd do if I won! :thumbsup2

With 2 new buildings, a conversion of an existing building and those rooms out over the water I wonder how many points in total there are going to be here? Anyone got a guess?

Which building are they converting?

my favorite - tahiti plus rapa Nui

this beach is generally not as busy as the others. Plus you get some great views.

it is also the closest to the TTC - so you can walk over to take the monorail to Epcot - or the ferry to the MK.

remember this is just the plan as of now - like DIsney everything is option to change - especially since if GF does not sell out on DVC time schedule - Polyn maybe put off.

I will though a guess out of 5 million points, so a billion $ in gross sales.

I'm not sure if they will add any club level tiers to the new DVC resorts, I guess we will have to wait and see. More active DVC members may suggest it to their DVC sales people and maybe they can pass that along to the decision makers.

But I have to say that the AKL CL is my absolute favorite DVC vacation. I do like them all, but club level is worth the extra points and it makes me feel like I am really taking a luxury vacation.

I would also expect that high end resorts like GF DVC and hopefully a future Poly DVC would incorporate the club level rooms into their plans, as you said they are IDEAL to incorporate that level of service. People will spend more points for club level access, and I'm sure it will be booked into the 11 month window, just like the way AKL CL is now.

According to the Tikiman site, it said if this Poly DVC build/conversion happens, we're looking at maybe 2017 possibly for completion of a Poly DVC... it's unclear, it mentioned there would be different phases. That's a long time for people to give their feedback about adding club level options. :cloud9: Seems like everyone loves the Poly! I certainly would love to see them build an expanded pool area as mentioned at Tikimanpages.

I agree!!! We only did 3 days there last October because I wanted to try the Treehouses and Beach Club villas too that tri (yeah, a triple split :scared1: ) but we've done quite a few of the club levels in other places as well as AKL before the villas were built. But man, it was HARD to leave that room! I can't say I'm all that hip on the lounge offerings (wasn't last time either), but the location to it and the elevators was sublime. We've done several savannah stays so I really didn't care what my view was so I was happy for the location of those room. Man, 10 seconds an you're in the lounge or at the elevators. It was perfect!
