Polynesian 3rd Floor - Should I worry about this?

I am thinking about requesting the 3rd floor in Hawaii for our September trip but I am also a little concerned. Has anyone on the second floor ever been bothered by noise from above? I know this may sound silly but about 4 years ago we stayed at a Days Inn on the second floor and the people below us called the front desk to complain about the "herd of elephants" above them (of course they made no mention of how noisy they had been the night before until 2 am!). Since then I have always requested a 1st floor room even though I know we hadn't been exceptionally loud (just normal foot traffic). My kids are well behaved but there are three of them all with rather big feet that constantly seem to be walking somewhere. I really would like that 3rd floor with the patio. Please help put my fears to rest.

We have always been on the first floor and never heard a peep from any neighboring rooms.

We have stayed on the first floor, although not the Hawaii bldg., and we have never heard anything, either from above or the rooms next door! I don't think you would have a problem staying on the third floor, if that's what you want, go for it!!

We never heard anything above us in Rapa Nui. Occasionally in the bathrooms I would hear the faint sound of a toilet flushing overhead but that's it. Try to figure out where the elevator is and decide if you want to be near it or not. The elevator is often on one end and you could end up with a long walk if your room is on the other. The halls in Poly buildings are usually very quiet, but I have two VERY loud boys and nobody said a thing.

We have been on the second floor before and have never heard people above us. We have heard the people next to us, but never above. I love the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms because the balcony is great for those early mornings or late evenings. We too have three children and no one has ever compained about us, so don't worry, get the room YOU want, and have a great time! After all, you will be at Disney!
