Well we booked our first DVC trip for this November on the 2018 points we banked from our purchase of the December use year. We have a Poly Studio booked for 4 nights, were planning on using them to enjoy Food and Wine and then Xmas decorations. We are Canadian and now hear there is likely going to be an extension of the border closing, to who knows when but given the numbers in the US I doubt our government will be opening it anytime soon. We can use the loop hole to fly and we have our flights but are now thinking do we really want to go if we cant park hop or do the trip we had planned.
So here are my questions for this forum
1. What is the likelihood of Disney allowing us to further bank these points that will expire on Dec 1?
2. Can we rent these points with success for those in the US that can travel to FLA - and will Disney allow us to make a reservation for the renter - or can we just rent the already booked reservation?"

Not likely. You'll already have had two years to use those points.
You can rent the reservation probably pretty easily. Just change the names of the guests via MS. Or keep your fingers crossed about being able to enter the US.

Thanks Deb and Bill, as we purchased late last year with the Dec use year ( with the 2018 point still available) we didn't actually have much time to use and book, we ended up booking pretty soon after purchase to get into our home resort at 11 months. Just a timing issue but will look to rent the reservation!

We are in the same boat. We just bought in Sept 2019. We were scheduled for May 2020 then June 2020, then August 2020, now November 2020 or January 2021 as a backup. We don't expect any of them will happen and they expire at the end of January, let alone our annual passes ended up being a waste.

We only got 1 day in our first 6 months. Our second 6 months was supposed to have at least 24 days on at least 3 trips. We have our bookings listed for rental on Davids. We will go in Nov/Jan if Florida actually stops ignoring the medical community and gets a handle on it but we aren't expecting it.
