How long will it take? I just got an email about 2 of the buldings being closed for rehab and was wondering if they will be open in Sept.??

I think the rehab will be going on for at least more than a year, and they will just be working on it a couple of buildings at a time. Apparently the rehab is extensive, in that the buildings are being pretty much gutted, so everything should seem pretty new once it's all finished! :D

Aotearoa and Fiji are closed off and being worked on right now. They may be done by September or October. Tuvalu was done last October. They have no information on which longhouse will be next but Tahiti Rapa Nui and Tokelau are not on the schedule to be rehabed. Only the older longhouses. Hawaii will go down next June. Here are pictures of the gutted rooms.

Tikiman,
I'm booking reservations for March '03 for our 10th anniversary. Our 3 kids are coming with also. What building would you recommend requesting? Thanks for your help, I love your site, it's gotten me really excited.

IF you are looking for a lagoon view I would go with Tahiti (before it becomes concierge or Aotearoa since it will be all new inside. For a garden view room I would go with Tokelau or Fiji. I will have much more pictures and info up as soon as I have the time to add them to the web pages. Some are already up but I have about 120 more to add.

Steve
