Hi guys. I have been wondering if there are elevators in the Polynesian building or if you must walk up stairs to get to your room. If anyone can answer this question it would be great. I'll be 29/30 weeks pregnant when we go to WDW at Christmas this year and don't know if I'd like walking up 2 or 3 floors.

Thanks!
Jody

I believe that all but one of the buildings have elevators in them. I can't remember which building doesn't have one in it, but even that one can be accessed by taking an elevator in a building connected to it, and walking over a covered walkway.

We stayed at the Poly. Most longhouses had elevators. I think only one did not. We stayed on the first floor, something we never do. We LOVED it! It was so convenient to just walk to our room and not wait for the elevator. Also, when you make your room request mention where you want your room, they honored our room request.

We were in Samoa on the first floor right next to the elevator during our stay in the first week of July this year. I assume the other buildings would have elevators, but don't know for sure. The GHC definately has two. We used them to get to Kona Cafe, Bar, Gift Shop and O'Hanas.

Nuie is the only longhouse without an elevator and as noted you can cross the little walkway from Raratonga to reach it. It is a small longhouse and has only two floors. I agree if you would prefer 1st floor just request it when you make your reservation. You might want to mention that you're pregnant....I think they'll try extra hard to get you on the ground floor if that is what you prefer. We do!
