Poly pool refurb

I read that the Nanea Volcano Pool will be under a refurbishment from 1/30-4/1/2012. We are considering switching our ressie because SAB will be under refurb during our trip but am worried that the refurb at Poly will go longer, into our dates. Does anyone have any info on this? thanks!

I would love to know this too! I read on Facebook that the slide reopened but there still could be downtime at the pool until the 4/1 end date. We too are thinking of switching for the exact same reason but egad, what if the Poly work goes long? I have the same fear!

I wonder, if that were the case, if you'd be allowed to use the Grand Floridian's pool. It sounds like YC/BC folks are being allowed to use the BW pool while SAB is refurbed, so I'd think they'd do something similar for Poly guests in a similar situation. They probably wouldn't offer it, but I'll bet they'd say yes if you asked.

There are updates to the poly pool slide refurb on the poly thread. It looks like it is back open now, but there is still work going on to the sides of the volcano. I would imagine they could elect to close it temporarily if needed, but it is now open.
