Poly or WL?

Both resorts look spectacular, but how to decide???

Poly is on the monorail...but I've read that some are not happy there

Love the theme of WL...haven't really heard anything bad

There are 6 of us, in two rooms or a deluxe room at WL. Two children included 11 and 7.

Any thoughts?

You are trying to choose between the best two resorts at WDW IMHO. You cannot possibly make a wrong choice here! I know this doesn't help you much with your decision, but I can assure you that you will be happy at either one of these great resorts...so flip a coin and have fun!

We have stayed at both resorts and love both of them. I have a hard time deciding on which resort.


Advantage of Poly over WL:

The rooms, balcony and patios are bigger at the Poly. You have a large beach area w. hammocks. You can view Wishes from the beach. Zero entry pool.

Monorail access so easier to get to MK and Epcot.

It's so funny I see this thread as we are presently at Poly but keep wondering if we should switch to WL. I think what we should do is stay at one this trip, when we get home make arrangements to stay at the other next time!

The Poly is much better then the WL. It is like comparing apples to oranges. I do love the WL themeing but that is it. The rooms are tiny, the pool always overcrowded and way too small, the transportatoin is terrible. You truly get what you pay for at the WL. It is nice for $125 but that is it. The Poly OTOH, is worth the $350 a night or more that they charge. There is a huge difference in the hotels. I would never change from the Poly to the WL ever!

Depending on how long your trip is, I would split your stay and try both, almost like two mini vacations. That way, you won't be thinking about the other resort during your vacation and wondering what if.

I agree with Puffkin--split your stay. Although I know it means having to re-pack mid-week and switch over, it might be worth it to get a taste of both resorts. My husband and I did this on our trip last year to Yellowstone. It worked out really well and it's almost like your trip is getting renewed--we got that feeling of excitement as we checked into our second hotel because we knew we had new experiences in store for us.
