Poly or BWV NYE

Looking to book a stay at either the Polynesian Villas in a lakeview room or Boardwalk in either studio category for 12/28-1/1. Which do you think I have a better odds of getting? I am going to be renting and hoping for the best odds of booking before availability is gone so I am hoping to put the easiest room at the top of my list.

I would put the BWV studio at a very, very low chance of success. Just looking at studio availability for Christmas time over the past week tells me that owners are walking reservations for the holidays. If you’re going thru a broker, I’d say that you probably don’t have a chance. Going directly thru a BWV owner might get you a Garden/Pool View studio but you would need to line up that owner immediately.

I give you better chances at Poly because it’s all studios (plus those bungalows). However, NYE, is extremely popular and owners will be jumping to book their resort for the night. Again, your best chance is by dealing directly with an owner since there have been many reports/complaints that the brokers don’t have Poly owners signed up to rent their points thru them for the fall, in spite of there being studios available to book.

Both will be very slim pickings. Good luck getting any studio on site for NYE.

Book the hotel room now. Cancel it if the DVC reservation pans out. Both Poly and Boardwalk are popular NYE resorts, even for regular hotel rooms.
