Aloha! (Hey, I'm getting in the spirit!)

Anyway, I would be very grateful for any advice or comments on the Poly's Luau as well as their separate Hula lessons. The Luau is a bit pricey but seems real cool - especially since we are now huge Lilo and Stitch fans!
We're traveling down this summer ... myself, my DW, DD- 9, and DS - 4. I've checked out the menu and it may be "doable" as far as slightly picky eaters. I also read about the hula lessons and that sounds like fun (I realize they are offered apart from the Luau).

I would love to know your thoughts, opinions or experiences with either of these.

Thanks very much, in advance!

I saw the Poly Luau about 7 years ago. The beginning and end were ok, but I honestly almost fell asleep in the middle. Food was good. From what I hear, the show and stage have been totally reworked. I have reservations for our upcoming trip in July and am looking forward to it. I heard it is more upbeat with the addition of the Lilo and Stich music. My kids are big fans.

The Spirit of Aloha is now the name of the dinner show at the Polynesian. I saw it in late February and really enjoyed the show. The food was okay. I've had better at WDW, but it was not bad. It was better than the food the last time I saw the Luau in 1997.

The Hula lessons are offered each Saturday morning. I believe that the time is 10:00 am. But you can check at the Island Guide desk to be sure. Since January, they have held these inside the Great Ceremonial house at the front of the lobby. There are numerous local children who come every Saturday to learn. But children of guests are welcome to join in each week. It is very enjoyable to watch.

Do you have to pay for kids to join in the hula lessons at GCH and do you need to make a reservation for this ?? Sounds just what my daughter would love.

When my two boys did the hula lessons last August there was no charge for them to join in. They had a really a lot of fun doing it!!! Then it was held at the Luau Cove. I have to call the conceirge today so I will ask where it is being held now.

Thanks, everyone, for your input! I really appreciate it!
