Poly Concierge - Lagoon View vs. Theme Park View

I'm no Poly expert, but will take a guess that the difference would be the view.:rotfl2:

The Theme park view has a direct view of the castle. We had this on our last stay. Its cool, but we didnt really stand there and stare at the castle. The lagoon view will have an island between you and the castle. We did enjoy the Hawaii bldg, but i am not sure i will spend the money for Cl again.

Okay all you Poly experts....I need your help in helping me to understand the difference between the Poly Concierge Lagoon View and the Poly Concierge Theme Park View. Any helpful hints would be most appreciated......http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Thanks a bunch.......

TP view you are guaranteed a view of the park, which from Hawaii is the castle . Lagoon view you are guaranteed a view of the lagoon. I know it sounds simple, but that's it. And TP view costs more. I have stayed in a TP view room and prior to that I stayed in a room that is now designated lagoon view (they didn't use to have the 2 separate views). That room was at the end of the building on the lounge end and had a tree that partially blocked the view of the castle.

It's not about the island. Lagoon view rooms do not give an unobstructed view of the castle. The view will be blocked by trees. That makes a big difference for fireworks.

And, it's not all about view either. If you want 3rd floor with a balcony you must get theme park view. There is only 1 non-theme park view on that floor. The 2nd floor has no balconies and is mostly lagoon view, and 1st floor has many views blocked by plantings and trees. Want a balcony, no choice but theme park view.

Thanks Polydweller - didn't know there were so few lagoon views on the 3rd floor (surprised there are not more tree obstructed views) since we have only stayed on the 1st floor.

Does tikiman still have the list of rooms on his website showing theme park view room #s and lagoon view room #s? That might help the OP.

I've stayed TPV at both the Poly and at the Contemporary and I would never do TPV at the Poly again. You are so far away--you can just barely see the top. The TPV that we had at the Contemporary (main building, not BLT) was so much better! We could see Space Mountain and Splash Mountain as well. The castle seemed to be right outside our window. We paid a boatload of money for both rooms but it was only worth it at the Contemporary.

Yes he does. The only non-theme view room on the lagoon side of the 3rd is the very furthest east room, furthest from the lounge.

When they went to the theme park view category they removed one trees that did block views on the third floor. Thus, more non- obstructed views.
