We have always stayed Lagoon view, but the AP rates for Aug were terrible.
So I switched it to Garden view. Now that I'm getting closer I getting a bit nervous. I liked looking at the Castle, will I be satisfied with the garden view? :confused3

I have done both and I have to say that lagoon view calls to me. When I have stayed garden I spend much less time on my balcony and way more in the lounge.

When I have the lagoon view I spend ALOT of time on my balcony (mornings, afternoons, evenings, late night) sometimes with breakfast or snacks or wine.

Hey, Muffycat - we have only stayed Lagoon View Concierge at the Poly once - last August as a matter of fact - our first Poly stay. We had a 1st floor room and guess what? All we could really see were bushes and a palm tree trunk!! I was kind of bummed to have paid more for that lagoon view when it really wasn't that easy to see the lagoon!

I am returning this August and had a GVC room booked, but I just switched to GF SL recently!! I think the GVC rooms have a lovely view, anyway, and who knows - you may get a free upgrade!

we stay Poly Concierge every year...we will be there this August again, and we're staying garden view...we just don't spend that much time in our room, and I have a hard time convincing DW that it's worth an extra 100 bucks a night just do be on the other side of the building...

Last year I originally booked us in a garden view room and then upgraded before the trip to lagoon view. It was fantastic. We had a first floor room right in the middle of the building. Dead center view of the castle. It was breathtaking just watching to colors change at night. So pretty! To sit out on our patio at night and watch the fireworks and water parade while munching on a desert tray from the lounge was one of the best memories of our trip.

I say GO FOR IT! ;)
