Hope you can all help me decide which concierge for our Feb. trip.

We'll be staying at BWV from Feb. 1st - 6th but then want to add on a two night stay at a one of the above resorts. I was originally thinking Poly to move us over to the MK area as we have a 3yo DD and spend lots of time there. However we have friends coming with us who are staying the whole week at BWI and we weren't sure if we want to be so far away. So then we started thinking about BC or YC with the draw being SAB and closeness to BWI.

So for those who have stayed which have you preferred or what did you like or dislike about your stays?

Thanks so much!
Gi

I've stayed at the YC and Polynesian from your list. I didn't much care for the YC for a numbre of reasons, the "louge" only had stiff tables and chairs, no comfortable seating area to begin with.

The Polynesian is by far the most kid friendly concierge expereience I've had at WDW.

I'd ask how much time you really plan on spending with these friends. If you'll only meet for dinner in the evening, then where you stay shouldn't much matter.

One other idea which might be the most conveneint for a lot of reasons is the BWI concierge. We really enjoyed it there, it's easy to move your luggage there from the BWV, and you'll be with your friends.

I haven't tried the BC concierge, but have heard generally good things, and the BC is very kid friendly.

Hope this helps!

I would do BC. We went to WDW this summer with our 3 yo and he could have cared less where we stayed. The bus transportation from the BC to MK is so good that it won't be a problem at all. You can even cut through Epcot and catch the monorail to MK if you have the time. My son thought the monorail was one of the rides. I think SAB will make BC worth it. :boat:

My choice would be the BC. My personal and my family's favorite. However, I think you should make a point of trying all three.

We are HOME at the BC.

Whenever we stay anywhere else the family is relentless on their comparison of that hotel to BC.

Let me tell you it's never kind. But at least its conversation. :teeth:

Poly used to be our favorite and for the life of me can't put my finger on why I don't care for it anymore
I just feel uncomfortable there.

Try them all. Gives you a good excuse (like you need one) to keep coming back.

We stayed at BC over Easter and thought it was rather stiff for small children (5 and 3). The guests were older and foreign. The children that I did see were much older. I thought CB was much friendlier for small kids but I like room service.

We are going to try the Poly this Dec. I'm hoping being closer to MK we'll see some more smaller tikes.

BC was just a little chilly for my family and don't get me started on the chair savers at SAB!

Thanks for your opinions! Keep them coming if anyone else has stayed in these accomadations.

Have some other questions for you. Between BC & YC is one closer to SAB or is it the same walking distance between both. DD is a pool fanatic so if its warm enough I know we'll be at SAB all afternoon!

Also how is the lounge in BC? Is there enough places to sit? Does it have a nice view? DD likes a wide variety of food so I'm not to worried about selections, but do they have kid friendly snacks in the afternoon? Do they have water bottles? Do they have juice boxes or something similiar for DD?

MaryKate's Mom - You mentioned BC concierge being stiff for little ones? Did you feel the food selections did not suit young children or was it cm attitude toward young ones.

Anne - Thanks for mentioning BWI conceirge. We really never even thought of that one! That is in our consideration now. However we were also thinking it would be fun to try a different resort and the ones mentioned we have never stayed at. We will be spending a considerable amount of time however with our friends. This will be our second WDW trip together. Last time we both stayed at WL and did the parks and meals together for the most part. We were thinking it might be fun to show them a new resort as well if we move as this is only their second time to WDW. BC/YC would at least keep us in the same area as them though. So I think we may be leaning towards BC.

Thanks again for your opinions and keep them coming if you have one!!

:D
