Poly AP rate question!!

I am staying at the Poly in October. I realized yesterday that I will still fall in value season! So now I'm wondering what everyone got for an AP rate during value season for either a lagoon view concierge or a lagoon view room. I have already been many times in a gardenview room so I know what that would be. Can anyone give me their nightly cost per night during value season last year in those two types of rooms? Rack rate for lagoon view is $400 & for concierge lagoon view is $510. As a rule of thumb..you can figure getting 40% off the rack rate for value season..however, I thought Oct was regular season? I know 3 years ago during summer value season I paid just about $250 with tax for concierge garden view & received a comp upgraded to lagoon view without asking :jumping4: needless to say that was my best stay ever in WDW

Unless you are going Oct 1-4, then you are going in regular season. Oct 1-4 is the only value season in October for moderate and deluxe resorts.

I am going October 1-13 so that will be covered under value. Last year value season ended in September so I missed it because we don't go any earlier then 10-1. As long as I check in while still in value season I get the value rate for the whole trip.

Thanks! That sounds great! I usually pay $250 ap rate for a standard garden view because it is always regular season. It will be wonderful to get lagoon view concierge for a little over $300. That can't be true can it? I was hoping to get it for $350 at the most but think I might be dreaming! LOL!

We went in August and we paid around $425 for a lagoon view concierge. That was during value season. That was when the discount was a flat $80 off deluxe rooms. I'm not sure what it was like in October.

That is originally what I thought it might be. I couldn't imagine it being so cheap! I pay $250 for standard room in regular season and couldn't believe it would only be a small amount more for LVC. I am staying 12 nights so that could get pricey! LOL! Thanks~

It does add up! The hardest part is now we are spoiled. My 3 yr old asks me all of the time "when are we going back to the Polynesian so we can see Cinderella's castle". Our last trip was the first time getting a LVC room. We were always happy with the GVC room. I don't think I could go back.

Wow, that's a smaller discount than I would have guessed. For our upcoming trip, the BDP room-only code saves $120 off garden view concierge (we passed on lagoon view concierge, but it was also $120 off). And I know that the AP code that came out shortly after BDP saved a few more dollars. This is for peak season, so the rooms are more pricey -- interesting how WDW prices things, huh?
