polling interest in a way to find people to share costs of towncar/limo service?

some of you may have seen me mention this on the Adults/Solos board.
but i thought i would post something here on the Transportation board to do a survey of opinions.

many people have gone to using Towncar/Limo service to get to/from MCO and their hotel. or some people use a Towncar to get from Disney to Universal.

since a Towncar service is priced by the car, not by the person, it's obviously the most economical only when you have the max # of people using the service.

for a Sedan, that would usually be 4 people.
for a Limo or Van, that would be usually be 8 to 10 people.

i'm wondering if there are ever groups of travellers who have less than 4 people who have considered using a Towncar service, but decided against it because it would cost too much per person since they don't have the max # of people.
maybe those travellers just gave up and just resigned to using Mears (cheap but not necessarily reliable timing).
or maybe if there was an easier way to find someone to share the costs, these travelling groups would welcome the opportunity to shave off some of the costs of using a Towncar service.

i was thinking, the DISboards has things like "Illuminations Central" where you share a Illuminations Cruise. or even "Dining Central" where you can share a meal.
do you think there would be interest in a "Towncar/Limo central" where people could try to find other DISers to share the costs of a Towncar or Limo service?

hopefully i explained this right, and you guys can figure out what i meant.
what are your opinions on this idea?

I'm thinking there would be too many variables to do this.
What if my flight is delayed by say 45 minutes and the other party is standing there ready to leave and the driver says he can not wait (he has another pickup after ours).
Or both parties are going to two different resorts. I think it would be hard to find another party going to same resort at same time or within reasonable time.
I am one who travels with a party of 2 (myself and my daughter)
I just used a limo service in October and yes it does cost more then Mears but it was worth it. Two adults in Meas is $56 or limo/towncar service was $85. The $30 difference made it hard to decide but then I looked at my flight times and how quickly I wanted to arrive at hotel and choose towncar.
Next May because I am flying into MCO at 6:25 pm and not going anywhere that night except exploring Pop Century I will use Mears. Timing to me that night does not matter.

I think trying to share towncar rides is a great idea but not sure how easy it would be to set it up.

Hope to hear from others.

Here is one simple method:

Be bold. When you see a group of people boarding a town car, ask if they have empty seats they wouldn't mind filling and sharing the cost, and also ask what resort they are headed to.

Disney hints:

In some cities with car pool lanes on freeways, hitchhikers have stood at the freeway on ramps, knowing that there are some drivers willing or wanting to add another person to their car to qualify that car to use the car pool lane. No need for either driver or passenger to coordinate their departure with another specific person as in a normal carpool arrangement.
