I think it would be kinda nice to have a forum for kids in Grade 4 and 5. My nine year old loves to surf the Disboards with us. I think it would be fun for them, however some of the Teen topics maybe a little too old for them, just a thought no flames please.

I sincerely hope that the DIS does not create this board which is just asking for a false sense of secruity for families and a lerking place for wierdos.

I voted no. My DD is starting third grade tomorrow, but even in a year, I won't want her on board with strangers. I'd rather her introduction to the Internet be on her school's portal, email with family/friends and encyclopedia/reference type sites. Thanks for thinking of the younger ones. At first, I thought it could be cool, but then I thought about more and decided no. Sorry.

Well I voted yes, although the 2 previous posts had good reasons for saying no. My stepson is 9 going to be 10 in acouple of days. He loves Disney, he's a huge star wars fan, and none of his friends have been to Disney. So for him to be able to talk to other kids about it, I think would be great. Of course they would have to be monitored, my kids never go on the computer unsupervised anyway.

That's what I was thinking!! I also voted , "no".

I have a 10 y/o dd and being on the dis boards would be fine. I'm on there so much, it would be simple to monitor. She's hardly on the computer anyway...usually plays games from cd's not the internet. I have the controls set so certain language and any private info is blocked and the page will not load, so I feel safe. She'd love to have others her age to discuss disney stuff with...she is finally getting into the "bigger" rides and would love to compare her experiences.
