WDW has filed a permit to address Cinderella Castle's roofing. Perhaps to fix the tiles, put in new slate tiles, or integrate some new lighting features, etc? (Maybe the start of bringing the Castle Dream lights back or something new in that vein?!)

Last week, I noticed the Castle is looking a little more dull, and I don't believe it has been painted since it received its new "Royal Makeover" in advance of WDW's 50th anniversary. The Florida sun can be tough, especially after 5 years!

So, assuming that a re-painting might be in the works soon'ish, what say you?

I picked traditional but honestly I could also be happy with the cake lol.
I'm not a fan of the colors right now. They should have done a temporary overlay.

I picked the cake but would also be happy with the traditional. It definitely needs a refresh of some kind.

I did not object to the cake, and actually own a piece 🍰 of it BUT I voted traditional (and maybe use a paint that defies the fading).

I am surprised to see some CAKE fans on here. Impressive, most impressive.

I went with traditional. I think my problem with the current look is it steers too much into Sleep Beauty territory. Perhaps they could do something to snazzy up the traditional look, and I'd be fine with that.

While I'd love to see the Dream Lights back, I could also be fine with some unique lighting scheme that is permanent. Perhaps like a supercharged GOVEE home system. haha. They could theme the lights to any holiday... 4th of July, Halloween, Valentine's, etc. Without that, perhaps a new lighting system like seen currently in Disneyland Paris which help the spires pop.

Those lights were amazing - spectacular. Unfortunately, the push to the projections might've made those lights a no-no now.

I like all of the incarnations (but they'd all look better with the Dream Lights!).

The original look is my nostalgic favorite since that's what I grew up with, but I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a new version. Maybe ombre light pastels with gold and silver touches for a more fairy-tale vibe?

An ombre could be interesting!

It's funny, because while I picked a return the the original in my poll, I don't mind as much the current. BUT that is because the sun has faded it a bit. I do not like how it was so bright and the blue so bold. However, I still want it to look more like Cinderella's home and not Aurora.

And yes, anything looks better with the Dream Lights! Put them on the Haunted Mansion. (haha I keed I keed)
