Had this on my mind since the decoration restrictions thread.

I have reservations for both Halloween and Christmas and will decorate for both but the Christmas reservation is a little more tentative.

Sorry Auntie but I cast the first "no" vote. Wish I could though.

We did Christmas in 2010, glad we did, won't do it again!

Perhaps Thanksgiving in 2011

Uh-oh! Why wouldn't you do it again? Just curious. We'll be in a cabin at the Fort 12/7- 12/13 with my mom! (My poor, tolerant husband...)

Maybe they went during Christmas. That place is a mob scene from Christmas to New Years. To us, that just wouldn't be as fun.

Going a couple of weeks before Christmas like you're doing would be awesome.:)

I went Thanksgiving 2009 and it was nice. Although the fort is full both at Christmas and Thanksgiving, Tgiving still feels less busy. I even cooked a 22# turkey at my site in a tabletop roaster and fed 12 people.

I've been the week before Christmas and on balance I prefer Tgiving.

We had a really really good time, but the weather was terrible. One day we woke up to below 20 degrees. However, the crowds were not too bad, we did the early am thing and left the parks in the early pm and had reses for several meals.

We did go swimming one afternoon.

The decorations, Osborne lites and the Candle light Processional were absolute worth it and all of us were glad we experiences Christmas at the World, but would go back another time

Christmas will be a madhouse- I like going during off-peak times.

We like to go in the first 2 weeks of December. All the Christmas decorations are up, all the special Christmas events, shows and fireworks are active but with low crowds in the parks and low rates at The Fort.
