My sis and I want to have a fun girls trip outing in December. We planned on trader Sams but the kitchen is down.

The chocolate cake at steakhouse 55 gets good reviews.

She thinks bananas foster would be fun at the Jazz kitchen.

Are there any other restaurants with really fun desserts we could have after dinner?

Or a hotel restaurant you love. PLEASE DON’T SUGGEST NAPA ROSE lol It’s an option but I’d like other ideas to compare it to.

The S55 Lounge menu recently got a revamp. We haven't gotten a chance to try it yet, but it looks good. If you sit at the bar in the lounge, I understand you can order from the full menu. Also, breakfast at S55 is always a must for us!
The bananas foster at the Jazz Kitchen is fun -- get ready to have all eyes turn toward your table when the flames get going!
The donuts in the Lamplight Lounge were very yummy! Fresh and hot -- just the way we like them!

That bazillion layer choc cake at S55 is next level & should be tried by everyone who likes choc cake at least once! Fair warning we always have leftovers after splitting, it survives in the hotel fridge fine to nibble the next day. Idk if they put the ice cream on the cake, we always get it to go & ask that be on the side (it was a swirl of vanilla ice cream & orange sherbet I believe).

Just a heads up on the chocolate cake at S55: if you have an allergy or sensitivity to any ingredient that might be hidden in chocolate desserts, ask before ordering. Our server wasn't sure I could have the cake, went to check with the pastry chef, and, sure enough (rats!), I can't have that cake. But the other desserts at S55 -- those are yummy, too! (I can totally vouch for those!)

I'm pretty simple, and normally just eat churros or beignets for dessert. However, during December, I love the seasonal items. My friends and I LOVED the candy cane beignets. We got them after eating at Carnation Cafe.

There is also a gingerbread cookie from Starbucks on Main Street that I liked.

Last year Plaza Inn had a yule log cake that was absolutely delicious! I hope they have it again this year. The French Market also had a praline cheesecake that was super yummy!
