Crowds don't seem to be thinning after breaking the $100 barrier -- will Disney keep pushing to see just how high ticket prices can go before demand softens?

How high do you think they can go before people say, "Enough!"

If they do raise prices again this year, how will this affect your trip planning -- will you postpone, or cut back your other spending?

the thing is though that public perception isn't easy to change. If people get in the mindset that they can't afford a Disney vacation and their profit starts to decrease it becomes a very slippery slope. I think we are approaching that point but we aren't there yet

I thought they just raised the ticket prices, so I don't think they will do it again so soon. I think they folks at Disney are thrilled. No matter how much they raise the prices, people are flocking to Disney.

I want them to do something crazy like go to $200 for a one-day to MK and see what happens. Kidding...sort of.

I think they are going to go to $125 relatively quickly (over a year or two). Then the multi-day tickets will look like an even better deal.

That would be a hoot!!!

Que 1st world problem, drama

It's interesting to watch Disney push those limits without any push back. The question is how high can they go?

Doubtful. Typically once per calendar year.
You're right. But this chart shows multiple years in the past where WDW raised prices more than once in a calendar year, sometimes not across the board, but multiple raises none-the-less.

I'm just concerned they're "feeling their oats" and based on others' observations on their recent visits, might just push the envelope just to see what people will pay...

ok - that would seriously stink
Agreed.
I think those with packages already booked with deposits paid would be OK, but those on the fence, or just thinking about it, might want to look at that chart I linked to.

The Ticket Price Survey seems to show that prices for Downtimes (bronze) might stay the same, which is only a few weeks out of the year. All other times might be raised with gold being $125 for a one day ticket for MK. I personally wish they wouldn't complicate matters and just raise prices a little (maybe to silver prices) across the board. These tiered timing thing just complicates matters.

Disney has raised prices twice a year in the past so a summer price hike isn't unheard of. Do I personally want prices to increase? Heck no, but price increase are a fact of life. Disney seems to be increasing to see what the market will bear lately.

I'm thinking they'll probably raise their food prices. I'm kinda kidding... but that's where I felt the biggest hit to my wallet recently. I don't even eat that much, maybe one full meal and then some snacks per day. Man, food is ridiculous. Pepper Market we would spend 30+ bucks on two adult meals... Chicken fingers and empanadas. That should be like, $20 tops. Anyway rant over.

The food prices were ridiculous already 5/6 dollars for a bite size kabob and some cous cous get outta here
