We were really trying to stick to wdw because it would be so cheap- no rental car- cheap arifare...
If you fly to VERO what airport do you fly into?

Fly into MCO... You probably could get cheap rental car also. I also vote for VB. Sit on the deck of the Green Cabin Room for drink watching the sunset and hearing nthe waves crash!!! Very nice!:cool1:

If VB were a choice, I'd definately vote for it.. To DW and I, that's when we get our vacation...

Outside of VB, I'd vote for OKW... It's serene, secluded, and the atmosphere just speaks of relaxation...

Not sure wher you live. For me, I compare flying into MCO to Palm Beach (PBI). The driving distance is nearly the same. JetBlue and CO can get me to either non-stop and within the same timeframes.

My first choice would be VB. We try that every other year, and it's wonderful! My second choice is BW, just because of the bars and fancy restaurants in the area. But, really, Vero is the most romantic of all;) You can't beat having dinner on the balcony, overlooking the ocean at sunset.

I voted for my home resort, OKW. Fits what the OP is looking for in every detail IMO. Looking at the current voting results, I'm shocked. Never thought I'd see the day when BCV was last in any poll.;)

Another vote for SSR! I love the proximity to DTD for shopping and dining but you still feel away from it. Love the theming and walking the grounds. How 'bout a romantic carriage ride at sunset?

My DH and I don't like the studios at OKW. For us that is the only drawback. We like to have a couch in the studio to sit and read and not have to sit on the bed. We also love the landscaping at SSR and the grounds are beautiful to walk around and enjoy. The quiet pools are wonderful and if you could get into Congress Park, your walk and the view of DTD is wonderful. I think the landscaping at SSR has really grown since it opened, so if that is the only thing you are thinking about OKW, I would still go with SSR.

The last 4 trips my gf and I have made to WDW we've ended up at OKW (mostly because it was a spur of the moment trip) and we love it there... I'm sure we would love SSR too!

I think BCV or BWV would be really hard to visit w/out doing the parks. I could not be that close to EPCOT and be content not eating in the WS!

None of the above - AKV!

My vote is for SSR, I love the walking paths in the morning and the lights of DTD in the evening. I love to just stroll around the shops at my leisure and there is easy access to the other resorts through the bus system.:cheer2:

SSR, beautiful grounds to stroll on, with many benches. Really nice quiet pools with hot tubs. The Spa :thumbsup2

Walking distance to Downtown Disney and everything else is just a short bus ride away.

the only downfall is no sofa- but we can live without that.

By this I'm assuming you ar elooking at a studio and since it's just 2 of you.

You said romantic but no sofa, how is 2 beds NOT romantic, one for "romance," one to sleep in....

Thanks everyone! SSR it is- I just updated my ticker- 80 days!:cool1:

The wife and I love going in May. Temperature is still not too hot. Everything is in bloom. The Flower and Garden festival is over at EPCOT. Overall crowds are not bad. We will be there towards the end of May.
