You have to get through the security gate to get on the property in the first place. I always feel safe there.

I can tell you that I had a similar situation happen a few years ago while staying at Pop. We were awoken to screaming at 2am. The screaming was coming from the parking lot where an adult female was physically abusing the male that she was with. My husband ended up calling the front desk and reporting the incident. The woman tried running over the male with the car that she got in. She didn't leave the property but drove around the building to the 90s side (we were in the 80s). Disney security and the local police responded to the situation, where they removed her from the car. We, along with another family, were questioned about the incident that we witnessed. It is not uncommon for these situations to occur. I wouldn't worry about it.
