police bust at all star movies???? tue/wed

anyone know what happened this week at all star movies, heard a horrible scream from my room, a scream of horror.....

later in the night I awoke to the sound of yelling, look out my window, and on the secound floor the "real" police are handcuffing a guy, and take him away..
after that went down, disney police arrived, as well as various disney officials in different coloured vest, shirts etc....

the room was dark for a few days, but was again lite up on friday...we asked at the font desk, and they said "no comment"

Just because something may or may not have happened (although it sure seems like it did from the sights and sounds) don't freak about your next stay!! I'm sure it is going to be a great trip. Good and bad things happen all the time in hotels around the country, every day, and would rarely if ever affect your happiness during a stay. Disney does a great job of keeping the "unmagical things" out of the public eye whenever possible, so I'm sorry that the OP had to hear and see such an unpleasant situation take place.

For the record though, there is really no point in asking a front-line CM what happened. NO front-line CM should ever speak to a guest regarding an incident that may or may not have occurred on property - that's public relations 101. The only people who really have the authority to speak would be WDW Public Relations and/or a Guest Services Manager who has been given appropriate briefings on the situation and the "talking points" if you will. If you are extremely concerned about something that may have occured and it clearly has a direct effect on your family, your best bet is to speak to a manager....but if you are just being curious (and I can't blame you, I would be too :p) you're better off just musing to yourself what may have happened!
 

and for the record my wife did speak to a "manager" as we were concerned for our safety being so close to that room, and having a 5 yr old with us...

as stated she was told 'no comment" "your safe here"

The fact is that the police came and dealt with the situation. That means that hotel staff & police acted appropriately. No hotel can assure guests that another guest won't misbehave, get drunk, become violent, etc. Or that there won't be thieves around who enter the property. They can only have proper procedures to deal with problem guests. The hotel and police did. So the manager's response of "You're safe here" was correct.
 
:) The last year we stayed at ASMo, we had a family with young children staying next to us. I could tell they were young kids by the way they wailed while their Mom was trying to brush their hair at 6:00 a.m. I am telling you it was very loud and went on for a long time--I have trouble with my hearing and had it checked this year, and I tell you it was bad. :eek: DH missed it for some reason the first morning but the second morning he called security. They were very prompt and either the family left for the day or piped down. Long story to say security handled our issue and were very polite when I called about it. :flower3:
 
Being that the "real" police arrived...it should be in the Orlando Sentinel...or whatever newspaper they have there. I suppose trouble is everywhere...even in the happiest place on earth!!!!

even in the nicest of hotels, this type of situation can be common. I was the hotel manager at a luxury hotel in Orlando and I knew the local police by first name. It sounds like they had a good handle on the situation.
 
1. He demanded an upgrade to a deluxe resort and didn't get it.
2. He stole a stroller.
3. He pool hopped (as others said).
4. He brought the mug as others said from a previous visit.
5. He parked at a the Polynesian and left his car there all day while going to the MK.
6. He lied about his child's age to get the 5 year old in as a freebie under three and had the 11 year old say she was under 9 so she didn't have to pay the adult ticket price.
7. He cut in line at TSM.
8. He stole the crocs and fanny pack off of someone in the park...along with pulling the cooler full of snacks from a family.
9. He used the ME for luggage transfer only.
10. He pushed his 10 and 13 year old children around in a stroller instead of making them walk.
 
obviously he was sharing his dining credits. . .
