Points Usage

We would like to give our son and his new wife some points to use for a wedding honeymoon present. How do we go about doing that?

I'm sorry, I'm sure that this question is answered over and over again on this site somewhere, but I simply couldn't find it. Only found a lot of arguments concerning renting points.

you can't give any nonmember "points" as such.

but you can make a reservation in their names and let them stay for free.

Even when people "rent" points to another person, the member must call MS to make the reservation.

If you are a member, you make a reservation in their name for a one time use. If you want to purchase a real estate interest for them, it would be no different from buying them a house. They have to continue to pay the utilities, taxes, maintenance, etc.

If you are not a member, you could rent a reservation from a member and ask that the reservation be put in your son's name.
