Points Transfer Question

I am a new DVC member with 2 memberships. I am going to need a large number of points transfered into my account for two seperate family reunion vacations I will be taking in 2007. Is there a limit on how many times points can be transfered into my account? I will be needing 353 points and that seems to be quite a large number to receive from one DVC member. It doesn't appear that I will have a problem getting that many points if I can receive the transfer from multiple DVC members. Also, my home for both memberships is BCV. I will be at the BCV for one of the vacations needing 25 points and the BWV for the second vacation needing 328 points. If I receive all of the points from one source, will I have a problem splitting them up for both vacations?

When DVC began, the transfer limit was ONE per Use Year per membership. In 2003, DVC had changed the wording by removing the specific limit and reportedly allowed multiple transfers - either into or out of a contract each Use Year. In August this year, the policy returned to the limit of ONE transfer (in either direction - but not both directions) per Use Year. Reportedly, they have been enforcing this limit since August so you'd probably better plan on finding one member able to transfer all of the points you'll need. If you really have two memberships (with different membership numbers) you can have two transfers - one per contract.

I'd see what you can accomplish by banking and borrowing from your two contracts - as well as consider renting a reservation made by another member - if you are unable to find a member willing/able to transfer the points you'll need into your account.

If you need to make the reservations 11 months in advance, you will need to have all 353 BWV points transferred into one account and the 25 BCV points transferred into the other account- otherwise you won't be able to use non-home points until 7 months. Transferred points will retain their original Home Resort status.

If you have trouble getting one transfer in for that many points, you can always rent and have the owners make ressies in your name, and have them linked. I'm pretty sure that is possible.
