Points in holding?

Can I book a room now using regular points then when it gets to within 60 days call and have them use the holding points instead?

Then it kinda depends on what MS rep you get on the other end of the line.

You can swap out holding point within 60 days for a trip booked, as long as you are at least 31 days before check in or you just end up with more holding points.

Perfect. I was thinking about booking rooms now, for one of the HS ones, then at day 60 swap out. We need 8 tickets so rooms is the only way I think we can do it. Getting 2 studios somewhere. I'm afraid if I just wait till 60 days, there won't be any studios left.

I have just done this. These were Covid related points. Worth giving them a call to confirm.

I assume it’s all the same membership. That would be the only way it would not work.

And yes, to get more than 4, you have to have rooms with guests in them.

The 4 person limit is sort of frustrating. I get it. But we have 4 people who are all on the deed as owners (not associates) and then there are 4 kids between us. We even have 2 contracts. But they all fall under the same member ID number I think.

I read that as each member could register and have 4 guests
`Event registration opens to all eligible Members on March 8, 2022, for the Member plus 4 Guests`
As long as each member has their own DVC login wouldn't they all be able to make registrations
or at least all owners(members) plus 4 guests per membership

In the past it has been by membership, or up to the guests in the room. So, the only way to get more was to have them listed in the room.

Since all owners are under the same membership number, it will not allow more than that without the reservations for those dates.
