I realize the rental rate is pretty high. But VGC is so small and the demand so great that to buy a DVC contract one must spend up to twice as much per point (resale around $140-145 right now). And take a look at what Disney itself charges per night for its own rentals. Stunning.
To get a VGC studio reservation, you pretty much have to go through an owner to get the 7+ month home resort priority. I just checked the availability for the next 7 months from today and there is exactly 1 night available in a studio, Feb. 11, 2017.
