Points for campsite

Has anyone used points to get a campsite? we were thinking of trying this, I checked the chart and would use 120 pts for 11 nights. I know some folks think this might be crazy but we have our reasons. We have stayed @ SSR last Oct. and HH before this is just a way to plan for future trips.

I know some people think some uses of points are not cost effective. I however, believe if you are enjoying your purchase then do what you want. If a campsite makes you and your family happy then do it.

We have reservations for the second week of december at fort wilderness on points and we love the idea. WHen we figured it out we stay in a hotel room once and the campground once. Two trips a year work for me. I know everyone has their best use of points, but do what you like with them they are your points. You would be surprised how many DVCers have RVs and use points to stay here.

Our Family loves to camp as well as the resort experience! We use our points to camp on weekends and as a second or third trip in one year using our APs. We have 5 children all 10 and under so they get some outdoor fun at WDW!
